Rumored lovers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who co-starred in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," led the field of People's Choice Award contenders announced on Thursday with three nominations each reports Reuters
Among those categories in which they are vying, the pair are up for best on-screen partnership for their movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith - against the male duos of Chris Rock and Adam Sandler in The Longest Yard and Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in Wedding Crashers reports PEOPLE MAGAZINE
Jolie was nominated as favorite female movie star, along with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, and favorite female action star, competing in that category against Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Garner.
Pitt was nominated for favorite male action star and favorite leading man.
The Emmy-winning Everybody Loves Raymond, which recently ended after nine years, was nominated twice, for best comedy and best male TV star for Ray Romano.
That 70s Show and The Simpsons were also nominated for best comedy. CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Desperate Housewives and Law & Order: SVU are nominated for best TV drama.
This year there is no nomination for Julia Roberts, who has won the best actress award for the past 10 years.
This year, Web-based market research group Knowledge Networks recruited a group of "pop-culture-involved" men and women aged 18 to 54 to nominate their favorites from pre-selected candidates in various categories.
