Lindsay Lohan nearly died

"I was going through a lot of stuff and overworking and not thinking of my body," she said. "I lost 20-25 pounds. I was on IV drips. I nearly died."

In June the Mean Girls star said her new look was the result of working out with a personal trainer, but friends doubt that's the whole story. "Lindsay is partying way too hard," says one source. "She's only 18 years old, so she shouldn't even be allowed in clubs, and she certainly shouldn't be drinking. But few can say no to Lindsay."

Lohan said was hospitalized soon after photos revealed her looking nearly skeletal, the World Entertainment News Network reported Tuesday.
