Five months after their rushed beach wedding, actress Renee Zellweger & Kenny Chesney have Split People Magazine reports. Gossip folk predicted this wedding was doomed from the start, and not to tout my own horn, I knew it wouldn't last.
The couple were married May 9 in a sunset ceremony on St. John in the Virgin Islands before 35 close family and friends. It was the first marriage for both.
No further details about the couple's split were available.
The couple met at the Jan. 15 Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit, where Chesney sang and Zellweger took phone pledges.
Zellweger has been linked with Jim Carrey, Irish musician Damien Rice, director Josh Pate, George Clooney, Matthew Perry, Rory Cochrane of CSI: Miami and British TV host Michael Edwards-Hammond. Her romance with the White Stripes' Jack White lasted about a year, ending last fall, according to People magazine.
Earlier this week an insider told US Weekly, "[Renee had] never seen [Kenny] lose his temper before the wedding, but now he seems to think he can tell Renee what to do, what to wear, where to go and who to see." And other problems threaten the relationship as well. Renee wants Kenny to stop touring while Kenny wants Renee to move to the South.
