Former friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will be forced to say "I do" when it comes to the fourth season of Fox's The Simple Life reports Star Magaine. The duo faces a lawsuit from Fox if they refuse to work together.
The split between the popular Simple Life pair started earlier this year when Nicole's weight loss led to her becoming a bombshell in her own right and helped her move out of Paris' shadow. Then, on Feb. 5, when Paris hosted Saturday Night Live, Nicole reportedly held an SNL viewing party during which she jokingly aired 1 Night in Paris — the famous Paris-Rick Salomon sex tape. (Nicole denies this.)
When Nicole got engaged to DJ AM in February, and when Paris accepted Paris Latsis' proposal just a few weeks later, war was officially declared.
Box Office
The two blonde starlets are heading toward a box-office catfight, too. On Nov. 4, the drama Kids in America, featuring Nicole, will be released, and so will National Lampoon's Pledge This!, a screwball comedy starring Paris. The identical opening day was chosen by Paris as a publicity stunt, claims Kids producer Andrew Shaifer, who picked the release date for his movie four months ago.
