Simpson in fan frenzy |
|

 |
Jessica Simpson may benefit from the positive aspects of fame (i.e., more designer handbags than she could ever hope to use), but on Wednesday she experienced one of celebrity's major disadvantages - a fan frenzy. While shopping on Beverly Hills' famous Rodeo Drive, she encountered a swarm of paparazzi and gawking citizens. According to the New York Daily News, some of the watchers even pulled at Simpson's clothing trying to almost literally get a piece of the singer/actress. Distraught, she begged employees of the posh Valentino boutique to let her in. Once safely inside the store, Simpson did what she did best. No, not sing, shop. She racked up a bill of close to $15,000 with her purchase of two bags and a sweater. See pictures of the crowd she accrued at JJB.
