Apple Computer is set to introduce an all-new iPod next week at a special event at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California reports New York Times. An invitation sent to select media reads in part: "1000 songs in your pocket changed everything. Here we go again." The slogan "1000 songs in your pocket" was first used by Apple when the original 5GB iPod was introduced in 2001. The long-awaited phone made by Motorola , will be marketed Cingular Wireless, the New York Times reported, citing a telecommunications analyst who has been briefed on the announcement.
The newspaper said the new phone brings together two of the most popular digital devices today -- the cell phone and Apple's iPod, which has popularized the practice of downloading songs from the Internet reports CNN.
The report said having iTunes software on the phone would allow people to transfer songs from their personal computer to the phone and listen to them.
Apple, Motorola and Cingular declined to confirm or deny the report.
