Cindy Sheehan Protests Bush Iraq Policy
|
Cindy Sheehan's son Casey died in the Iraq war and Mrs. Sheehan then became an anti-war activist. Most recently, she is camping out at a five mile distance from Prairie Chapel, President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. She wants to meet with the president to ask him why her son died. He is declining the meeting. She has become something of a celebrity, less all the money, having appeared on CBS, CNN and ABC. No word is available on whether Bush's claims that the war in Iraq aids the cause of U.S. security are spurious. We do not know whether all the security lapses in the homeland are being catalogued and discussed by Al Qaeda. We also do not know whether Al Qaeda is the type of organization which mainly satisfies itself with extremely deadly and damaging strikes spaced at relatively long time intervals. Therefore, we can not say whether the war in Iraq is like an orange sauce to be poured over sitting ducks, which would be us, you and I, dear reader. (By Scott Rose) |
