Friends of Katie Holmes say that the Batman Begins actress, 26, can't wait to have kids with her megastar fiance Tom Cruise, 43. "Katie says she's having the most amazing time of her life," a friend of hers tells Star. "The last few months have been wonderful, and she can't wait to start a family with Tom."
Tom has two adopted children, son Connor, 10, and daughter Isabella, 12, (he shares custody with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, 38). "Katie says she'd love to have a boy and a girl," another friend of the actress says. "She comes from a large family so she knows what it's like to have the sound of kids' laughter around the house all the time." Even back in her Before Tom days, Katie was open about her desire to be a mother. "I have so much respect for my mom and my sisters who are now raising children," she told one reporter. "You never get a break. I think I'd like to have a big family. I just hope I have the stamina."
