Karl Rove Caught With His Head Up Bush's Ass
|
It has just been admitted during a White House press conference that there is evidence that it was presidential advisor Karl Rove who leaked the name of alleged covert CIA agent Valerie Plame to the press as retaliation against her husband who had published an article prior to the Iraq war asserting that Bush's claims of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq were incorrect. At the press conference, the press corps was eager for more details from Scott McLellan, who stonewalled by stuttering instead of answering reporters' questions. Chuck Schumer has written a letter to Bush demanding an explanation; Senator Frank Lautenberg went further, calling on Bush to suspend Karl Rove's security clearance in order to prevent him from making further leaks. During the 2004 presidential election, Rove gave detailed instructions and orders to his minions on how they were to suppress the minority vote and particularly the African-American vote. That was documented in readily found publications and yet Bush did not fire the man. Early today it was already known that Bush had bamboozled the country into an unjustified war in Iraq; that one of his very closest advisors exacted revenge on somebody speaking out against the war policy and then allowed Judith Miller to be jailed rather than to confess his having been the security leak is an outrageous and arrogant attack against our democracy. The menace to our country represented by the Bush administration is not a lesser one than that represented by Al Qaeda. The fight against both is a tough one; however, we don't know where Al Qaeda is headquartered nor what the best course to take against it might be; Bush and his henchmen are in D.C., ripe for mass impeachments.
