Drug enthusiasts the world over have another reason to light or shoot up this morning - their idol and spokesman, Hunter S. Thompson, is dead. Thompson was found last night in his Colorado home by his son, Juan, having shot himself in the head. Thompson pioneered the technique of "gonzo journalism", allowing the reporter's own feelings - and even himself - to enter into a piece. For that, the Bosh definitely thanks him. He was also responsible for cult fiction like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Hell's Angels. This isn't Thompson's first trouble with firearms. In 2000, he accidentally shot his assistant while trying to scare a bear off his property.
