In Touch reports on Courtney Love's having given up drugs; they might have mentioned what Grace Slick said regarding quitting drugs after she had a baby: "It's too hard keeping an eye on the kid when you're hallucinating." Unless you've been through it, it's hard to know what having a strung-out, drugged-out, hysterical mother is like; Love's child with suicide victim Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean, 12, certainly knows, but is now the object of Love's efforts to make ammends for her nightmarish childhood.
