Yahoo News reported yesterday that, upon it's entry into port in Atlantic Canada, a U.S cruise ship was stunned to find a whale (yes, a WHALE) impaled on it's bow. Ooops.

The 60-foot (yes, 60-FOOT) finback whale may have been stuck out front unnoticed for up to two days. The report states that "finback whales are relatively common", so I guess that makes it ok. Also, it's hilarious.

Wendy Williams, a spokeswoman for Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans, says the incident is "an extremely unusual case" and that "This is the first ship strike (on a whale) that I'm aware of in the past year." I guess America really will strike anywhere it wants to.

My advice to the whales: get endangered and maybe we'll be more careful.
